please help a retarded child out /SMG/ so I sold a call with 100 shares of GME leveraged at a strike price of $11
My current portfolio is showing $5560 but thats not right, right? so if GME current stock value is say 14.30 then I have to subtract $330 (14.30 - 11 )3.30x100) to get my portfolio's actual value right?
lol what the fuck? Y'all were banking on a short squeeze, not an out-of-absolutely-nowhere partnership with Microsoft. Get fucked if you're all proud of yourself for being INCREDIBLY lucky. That being said, what's going to happen now? Pump and dump back to $8?
Potentially this. I have no idea whether to or not. 14k and if this stock squeezes to 50 ill make like 30m but have no freaking clue desu. Scared of getting burned at this point.
Elijah Gutierrez
I thought it was just getting fucked with by a bunch of poos as a kind of pseudo shitcoin I didn't know this news was coming
Josiah Powell
im okay with it I just want to figure out what im actually sitting at
I've got a dead baby octopus too, that ones in an old medicine jar with a tar covered cork to keep in all the formaldehyde
John Sullivan
how do i convince my dad to drop 1k in gme
Brandon Carter
This is the short squeeze, retard. Squeezes typically require catalysts. Anything (good earnings, more cohen ownership) could have been the catalyst, and it just happened to be this announcement. What happens now is going to be purely driven by available shares and daily volume for the shorters.
Luke Evans
You sold covered calls? Then unless the person who bought your call fails to exercise (he's in jail or something) your profits are capped at the strike price. Don't feel too bad, profit is profit.
Leo Powell
>implying that the stock price would have gone +50% in one day on this news if not for shorters getting squeezed
Lmao
Dylan Ross
just suck him off faggot
Benjamin Baker
foreal if you buy without leverage and just hold till november you are guranteed you will not lose money of it
Caleb Reyes
a safer bet is CRSR since it'd pump up (its down now) if GME actually rockets. and if the latter doesn't, it'll still hit 25-30 EOY but thats just me.
if i would've gotten in on GME at 9 I'd sell right now, about to go through the logistics of the MSFT partnership. i will say "multi-year" is bullish on its own
Jonathan Bell
Hypothetically speaking if i bought almost 1000 shares with $14k at an avg of $14.87 should i sell?
There will be another squeeze. Reggie is on the board. I imagine a nintedno partnership is being discussed too.
Carter Green
asps told ya so
Angel Wilson
>MSFT buys GME >MSFT turns every GME location into a MSFT store similiar to AAPL stores >MSFT stores offer on site tech support for boomers
Luis Rodriguez
>I bet Ryan Cohen is going to make a successful e-commerce pivot >Who would he do it with tho? Atari? SEGA? Get wrecked shorts.
Brayden Reed
covered call right? since you have more than 100 shares you must miss out on all the gains past $11 and obviously it will execute with how deep ITM it is market-wide panic causes Gamestop to dip down under $11 again next week
Eli Myers
Do i buy more gme now? or wait for pre-market?
Blake Scott
Is it actually the squeeze though? What happened to the people saying that it can't happen until short interest has been reduced to around 50% or whatever their figure was? Is it possible that this is literally just people reacting to that news and the squeeze hasn't even begun to initiate the opening of its genesis?
Jose Fisher
I sincerely doubt that this is the short squeeze. Its all about that microsoft news. It is "lucky" but as people say
its not timing the market, its time in the market.
Ian Phillips
You could trim your position to lock in some profit
Jaxson Carter
>if i would've gotten in on GME at 9 I'd sell right now Hmm i would too if i had a bunch at 9. Wish i went all in and didnt sell till now. Hypothetically speaking considering id sell right now if i bought in at $9, does this mean that this is a bad idea? Hypothetically of course.
