Well second job is always an option, but it's hard to find one that really fits in your time and doesn't leave you drained. More power to you if you can do that. But a good side hustle I would say is something that can supplement your income with a minimal investment. Doesn't have to be "big money" per say.
I think uber can be viable if you drive a reliable car with good gas mileage, particularly if you do your own maintenance. Or if you already own an electric car since they are dirt cheap to maintain. I've talked to a few car rental places and they say they have a pretty consistent trend of renting cars out their hybrids to uber drivers.

If it is true that you're making so much money than the hour or so you spend researching bank promotions, signing up, transferring money etc is not worth the $100 you're getting and is likely an inefficient use of your time that could better be spent marketing or building and result in much higher profits than splitting your time up with worthless shit. Sharpening knives. Want to get into sharpening other woodworking tools, shears, etc.
I live in an area with a median income of like 160k per household. Huge residential developments and neighborhoods. So I try to market to the average consumer and homemakers that don't bother with sharpening their knives.
Still developing the pricing on it and figuring out the best methods in terms of time and effort. Typically they give me a few knivs like 4-10. I charge anywhere from 1.50-3 dollars an inch depending on how damaged the blade is.
Can usually make like 50 bucks a house and takes about an hour or two again depending in the knife quality and damage

He "refinished furniture" but really the only thing he did was get some varnish, polished it up, and charged a few hundred bucks for just an hour or so of work. Since he always inspected it, he never took on a project that would need more than a restain and boomers ate it up.
