I pressure wash parking lots, industrial buildings, parking garages, etc with a few workers. Only bigger jobs nowadays. I do it for 9-10 months of the year depending on weather. Got a few trailer setups. It took me a while to break into bigger contracts, took some dick sucking too but it was worth it. I was hitting around $60k gross when I first started by myself. My parents have construction connections, but not to anything I'm doing right now. Helped me come to know some individuals at first.

If I was starting from scratch, I'd look for a job that pays solid money in your area. I can't help you with this. Look into something you're capable of whether it's landscaping, masonry, whatever. I tried painting at first and I fucking hated it. Do the job for a while, learn the ins and outs, save money, and get ready to buy tools. You absolutely need good equipment to be profitable. You don't want to be stuck on a job all day with shitty tools that can't get it done. Give lower prices if you have to in order to retain jobs if it's worth it (more work in the future). Suck some dicks here and there. Keep grinding and you'll make it.

All of my work is through referrals nowadays, stopped giving out my business cards a couple of years ago, only do so occasionally now.
