no, but the middle class used to be, roughly, what 100k-350k/year would buy you today, in terms of modern dollars. anything above that is wealthy, IE; multi-millionaires of varying tiers and beyond. anything below 100k/year in todays dollars is working class. anything below 50k/year in todays dollars is poverty and should be voting democrat at all times.

Middleclass has moved to China, basically. Or what was the middle class in america. Being able to afford a freehold home, a car, and raise a family on either one income or two combined incomes of roughly 100k a year is middle class. Anything above that is above, anything way below is lower.

Its become a lot more complex in the US in terms of what class is, because the overwhelming "middle" class that once was is decaying rapidly.
There's an enormous amount of surplus labor migrating to the top. Which causes the decay and divide.

I only had about 20k student debt and I kept traveling during the summers and disregarding internships like a retard.
After that, I moved into an apartment that was bicycle distance from work so I didn't even need a car while I paid down my debt and saved.

When you have the parents equally financially illiterate even coming from a middle class upbringing, what do you think happens to the kids? I went to two different high schools, myself. One that required economics, and one that didn't. Predatory lending practices prey on the stupid and it inflates tuition.
