This. I remember laughing about the Chainlink team dumping 700k stinky linkies a week in order to "fund" the project. Turns out Brave is doing literally the same exact thing.
They can't keep the project alive based off the occasional investment/advertising campaign. They give away ad campaigns for free and fund it with the UGP. They're running out of time and money and they're starting to take (or have already taken) a route that could get them in serious trouble with the SEC.
Things are not looking good, and if you think the stagnant price of BAT is anything other than a bearish symbol, you're delusional. There's a reason deep pockets are not buying into BAT. They're skeptical it will ever be a profitable project and they're skeptical it won't get absolutely canned in court by the SEC/etc.
It's a cool idea but it was too risky and in the current legal/financial/political climate in the USA, it's DOA.
