There is no accumulation. It's just whales paying for bots/pajeets like you to sentiment farm while they take a breather from milking the market with hedged short contracts. Some of the largest wallets get fatter but that's just incidental to creating value that is traded for USDT and BTC by letting LINK wax and wane across the Thursday - Sunday cycle. This week just got fucky and maybe we get to pump until Wednesdays now and dump on Thursdays. You have to change it up every 6-8 weeks to keep the minnows and sharks away from indefinitely growing their stacks through swings.
