You are best suited with building your logical thinking skills. Start with “in a perfect world, here is what success looks like for this role”. He should be able to help you define what that success looks like. Once you have a “North Star” so to speak to go towards, work backward from there. This is called a top down approach. Once you have your high level goals in place, create action plans. These action plans are where you can focus in on delivering those goals. This works because if you stick to the mission you can always follow the logical path of why certain plans are going to benefit. That’s going to help you the most, and it’s a skill that will help you with many different things in life, not just this job.
