I have set up a new ethereum wallet on the ledger, will it go in there or do I need to do something else? I am assuming it will not go in the XRP wallet. bit confused if i'm honest.

To try to get this thread back on track: I’ve decided that my real world view of the likely path to moon is as follows:
If you look at much of the regulation that’s come about in finance since 2008, it all stems from G20 commitments to ensure better regulation of financial markets and to protect stability. Once that goal was stated, the BIS put together recommendations and national regulators worked off those proposals in order to establish their national regs (Dodd Frank, EMIR, etc.).
Maybe that’s the G20 in Nov - a commitment to common standards which will be picked up by the BIS for delivery shortly after. That would put moon some time after 21/22 Nov.
Because it’s not rollout and mass use of CBDCs that would move the needle. The needle would move if the BIS or similar says “look, we’re all working towards our own CBDCs, but we need them to be interoperable, so make sure your CBDCs can work with Ripple/XRP. This will also protect against dollarisation, by the way”. That establishes the standard (pun intended) for CBDCs and flips the switch on XRP
