anyone else want out of their current life/situation?
i fucked up really hard in life. i need some advice.
i graduated highschool with passing grades, did a gap year and did drugs and worked minimum wage jobs.
now i have bad health and live with my dad, im a loser and i want out of this situation. im 21 and been planning to go to university to study marketing. i have a horrible GPA so should i retake the SAT to compensate in my application?

ive also been studying digital marketing in my spare time, hopefully so i can use the skills to freelance.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

once you're a mature student no one gives a fuck about your gpa anymore. You might have to go to a shitty college first to get into a good degree program though.

my college counselor said my chances of getting in a program i want is 30-40% because of bad GPA and SAT scores. he said i shouldnt waste my time doing the SAT and just apply.

ive been very interested in this program "digital business and innovation". it covers digital marketing and computer science shit as well.
i agree with you, a program like business and technology is far better than a "marketing" degree.

Don't go to uni if you're doing the advertising side of marketing.
Total waste of money and time, you can build up a good a portfolio in 3 months without $$$$$ in debt.
If you're halfway smart it's mostly just common sense.
Send your portfolio to the CDs of relevant small-midsize agencies and ask for feedback only - don't even mention a job. Some will ignore or decline but when you get the response listen and work up a new portfolio (60% new + 40% old but refined with the feedback in mind). Send it back to the one who replied and I guarantee you'll be offered an internship or something.
T. Did the uni route and my partner did the second option and has the same results with no debt.
If you're craving structure find it elsewhere - volunteer, run or sort out your diet.
