Because people value anonymity.

scam coin

True.
Big reason I’m in big on XHV too. Crypto projects around anonymity will invariably bloom, there’s always a market for people that want to operate anonymously.

This. I like Monero, but in reality any privacy focused coin with solid fundamentals should be a good hold long term because niggers need to buy drugs somehow. Functional privacy coins have underlying economics beyond hype and speculation.

Defi scammers are using XMR to hide their ill-gotten gains. It literally started to pump when defi crashed kek

actually exchanged regularly as a currency and fit-for-purpose drug money

Imagine not being bullish on DrugCoin

biggest dark net drug market deals in XMR exclusively

Interesting theory. Care to elaborate? Mind sharing a link to a source that explain it further?

>people value anonymity
99% of people dont give a fuck about that except for:

it's how the bankers launder the cartel drug money.

They already do that through traditional channels, they don't need monero for that.

Are you serious?

Post publicly the list of everything you buy with cash or credit cards each day. Also post your bank account balance please.

Yeah.

I too have a piqued curiosity regarding this theory

Dark web markets are starting to pick it up. This in of itself is not causing the pump, but it's adoption. It has parallels to Bitcoin which is getting people excited, for lack of a better description it could be the next BTC.

Shoutout from Mcafee.

Based and White House market pilled

Because it's by far the best cryptocurrency (as a currency).

DNMs are the whole reason why BTC was first adopted. We are seeing the same with XMR.

DEFI scammers would just swap back ETH into a clean address then. This is also what ransomware or hackers stealing funds do by moving back into BTC. XMR now is gaining in utility and adoption itself. With the adoption uptrend coupled with smooth downtrend in inflation rate, the price will continue to appreciate with strong support. Eventually people will start realizing XMR provides both a store of value and great utility with much better SecOps and performance than BTC which may already be happening.

Monero is going to go vertical once atomic swaps are implemented, something to consider.
I agree that Monero has value in its own right, but hackers and scammers can't just send crypto to another address to clean it. Sending eth or btc to a 'clean address' will not erase evidence of wrongdoing, it's still all there. People have been locked out of moving their funds to exchanges even though they swapped their crypto to a 'clean' address before attempting to send it.
This changes with Monero atomic swaps. With an atomic swap a criminal can swap their eth for monero, send it to another address anonymously, atomic swap it back into eth and then it's practically impossible to track.

Wasted £60,000 grand in DEFI and basically lost most of it, not a single good trade. Could have put it all in Monero and just gone afk and become rich.

I was a little shaky on the IRS hiring people to try and fuck it up for a bounty though, made me nervous.

the IRS can't break math, it's hilarious that they're trying

free audit paid by taxpayers.

I also bought Monero right at the top during the great 2018 bullrun. If it 5x I might break even
