ETH is going to have massive adoption and we will need many scaling solutions. Vitalik said so himself. You seem to be underestimating how many projects are building on ETH. Look at the migrations to xDai already. They aren't planning to move. xDai is fine for things like POAP, Gnosis, Omen, Aragon DAOs etc.

Not sure what to do. Completely lost. It makes no sense, total value locked keeps growing massively yet we dump more and more each day. Fuck this, very painful. I don't want to imagine what would happen to price if eddit announced that it lost competition. It would absolutely fucking dump -50% from this point. Losing hopes of this reaching $100 this year.

first argument he has is valid, but people are moving over and i doubt Ethereum's speed and fees are going down in the next 2 years for contract deployment anyways. The point about if xdai captures the market it will make eth faster is bull crap, and it would be a lot higher than his 10% figure, also xdai fees will always be cheaper due to a being a stable coin. So its not a valid argument because with more adoption eth will be more expensive. imagine when eth is worth 10k? plebs arnt gona affort it

Im not debunking this, but his Energy level analogy is set up just flawed.

Lets take some arbitrary Energy units (EU). In his first state change, ETH is higher than xDai. Lets put ETH at some 70 EU and xDai at a lower value then, 50 EU.
In the second state transfer, "out", xDai sits higher than ETH and that cant be. You go from xDai 50 EU to ETH which is at 70 EU, but now he portrayed it lower. Potential energy level of a state cant change or it would be some other new state.
