yes, unfortunately for us enlightened souls in this world where it seems all about animalistic competition it can be quite lonely. So my soul resonates with your suggestion we should look for enlightenment mostly from within and work towards achieving our goals that add value to human civilization. There are two principles at work though; on the one hand competition ingrained into our very beings through the principals of evolutin (survival of the fittest) and the need for metaphysical enlightenment embodied in the definition of love as explained by Jesus the Christ. We need to find a balance in this world between being selfish like Lucifer and being selfless like Jesus. The way to achieve this is by explaining to all mankind the fundamental aspects of our universe, i.e. the real truth that so far mankind has not been able to uncover. This not only constitutes an alternative worldview for our current religions and atheism, but also breaks down all barriers that exist within the different peoples of the world, we all realise we are in essence all the same, just tweaked differently according to our different socio-economic environments. States will become just local executive entities and the law that says love God above all and love your neighbour like yourself will be universal. Only that way we can save our planet from extinction and deal with all the problems that our planet currently faces. We ought to play our part and find fulfillment in doing so, as you suggested.
