Haha. 3 weeks ago it was 2 weeks till token issuance stopped. Always going to be couple weeks away.
Its to keep people from leaving the platform, TVL draining and never coming back, that would be the death of it.
What the devs should do, and probably are doing, is keeping it as a reward until the governance and value vaults are completely as they want them to be. Why?
So people dont leave Value when token rewards stops, but continue to stake Value in Value vaults and governance vaults. If they quit token rewards now, too many people will leave.
Its the absolute most logical thing to do and if you cant understand you're either a brainlet or too impatient.

It evolves constantly, continuing to pump out rewards. It’s like a one-stop-FOMO-shop where instead of rugpulling & forcing you to move all your funds to a new project (with the possibility of losing all funds in a rugpull), they just mutate to the hottest DeFi trends.
Although the Value token is not at a price I’d like it to be, I feel like I’d have lost gobs more money chasing food clones. Maybe I’d have made it big but that’s really just gambling.
I’m sitting back, shitposting, while devs do mile long lines of adderall and add all of the hottest DeFi capabilities to their platform. Oh and did I mention ~30% APY minimums on each of their creations?
I can wait for 4 months.

I've heard rumors that binance is behind yfv/value (as in one of their teams is making a "decentralized" exchange). Also heard that they were og devs from another big past project, which sort of seems likely judging by the pace of their work.
Either way, it's pretty obvious these guys know what they're doing and aren't concerned with short term gain.
