There is an economic incentive to suppress this. Whales who aren't desperate for money can afford to be patient. Maybe they are trying to get a bigger slice of the pie before word gets out on what this is and if the price goes up the APY will sky rocket. It's a positive feedback loop. If YFI is BTC this is ETH

The true test will be when the market returns to another Defi alt cycle. If they can recover lost ground quickly in those conditions, i will be convinced that these guys are truly in for the long haul.
