This will hit $1B before the end of November and top 10 early next year. Can't stop accumulating.

I've heard that before.

Yes. in the last positive rebase greed/fomo cycle AMPL hit a 600 million marketcap starting at around a 10 million marketcap. Now we are starting at a 100 million marketcap, you do the math.

the last positive cycle lasted 4 days.
not worth holding through 27 days of negative for that

Oh look its AMPLs monthly pump just in time for the investor dump

People FOMO'd in because they didnt have a clue what rebases really were and thought it was a magical money printer.

Rebasing tokens are absolute kryptonite in DeFi at the moment and AMPL isn't gonna make major waves until actual usecases are created and investors token unlocks finish.

This

Nigga don't be stupid. First ya dropped from 600 to 250m, then continued to have a few day pump followed by another 50-100m loss.
MCAP was below 100m when this pump started. Why the fuck would it magically be 'the one' when nothing has changed?

At least RMPL is trying different shit, despite being hot garbage.

>usecases
that's so 2017

I dont fucking get it. Rebasing is just an accounting thing, why would it affect anything?

Zig Forums loves paper gains and rebases give some of the best euphoric free money feelings until the rug is pulled.

The USD value next to your stack is not affected though

Yeah ok

A lot of coins make gains based on hype, the fact that you're up doesn't mean the idea is sound. A rebase is just changing the unit of account or am I missing something? The price adjusts the moment a rebase is done so if your stack doubles the price halves? I feel like I'm missing a piece of how it works.

I don't get what you are saying.
but the total USD value is affected.
what part of AMPL don't you understand?

Let me try to explain, I'm genuinely confused.

Let's say there's a rebase where supply is doubled. This should mean the price halves. So what's the point of rebasing?

Yes it does change the unit of account, so you just look at the total marketcap for knowing when you've made a profit or loss.
The theory the team has is that merely changing the unit of account from price to quantity is enough to sustain a bull run. Human psychology - whether they are right or wrong remains to be seen.
> if your stack doubles the price halves
No it's more gradual and smooths out, it walks it down a few cents at a time over days and weeks rather than cutting price from $2 to $1 overnight. it's not as hard adjusting . Theeir site has documentation on the price formulas and how they do it with a price oracle.

Okay. Ngl this sounds retarded.

if price crashes that's because of selling pressure on the open market. the rebase moves the price towards the target a tiny bit only. market pressures still have a lot more control now. that's why rebase hell was so long and why it stayed under $1 for a long time.
