Why do normies finance new cars?

Are they stupid or do they like staying poor? I don't think i've ever spent more than 3k on a car, they last years and ive driven them across the country.

well
you are not what you have
but
in the normie world
you are what you have

they literally just depreciate every day lmao

It does feel good to drive a new car with modern amenities. I have a 2018 that I was cornered into buying, it’s expensive but at the time of purchase I needed it for work

Usually just manlet cope. The redditniggers that are "too cool" to go full funco pop/video gayme collector gotta coomsoom something. Why not 60% of income on a lease + insurance?

I bought a tesla because YOLO. Do not regret it.

A new civic/corolla will last forever and you don't have to worry about what the previous owner did. Also financing for cars is like 1.9%, that's practically nothing.
Would rather have a problem free new vehicle for 15 years than roll the dice with used every 3-5 years. Plus all that money I didn't spend on a car I invested.

>why are normies stupid
great thread

Depends what you buy. A $30k car will end up depreciating but a $150k classic probably won't. Ive been looking into financing a ferrari, works out at roughly $1k a month to drive the car or your dreams.

I think you need to realise not everyone is an incel neet who wants to live penny pinching. Some people enjoy nice things.

I picked up pic releated for £4.5k. Its 15 years old but has only done 70k miles. No idea why people spend so much money on cars

They have lots of sex inside those cars.

Cos they’re fun to drive, comfy and it feelsgood getting blowjobs in them.

Bye.

It's just about what they like.

Imagine you could acquire what you wanted/loved the most without having to make a huge downpayment.

I agree enjoy nice things, but only AFTER you have a net worth of 1M+ imo.

I wouldn't want all the attention that comes with a Ferrari especially if you don't even have a house to go with it. Looks weird to have a supercar parked in front of a regular suburban house.

That's a european civic and you know it. In the states it would cost $2k just to service it because of how much BMW in the US fucks you.

>Imagine you could acquire what you wanted/loved the most without having to make a huge downpayment.
I only want more money

new car is going to be 20k. its going to depreciate 40% in the first 3 years. you would not get the money back in maintenance. a newer used civic will still not have problems

smart and i agree.

this.

At that price they are basically paying you to take the car off their hands for them. There's a reason why.

I got a 800+ hp cannon ball, worth every penny, fun and exciting, stay faggy faggot and play with your shitcoins for all eternity .

enjoy your depreciating asset i guess?

Net worth is a meme. I know people who have million dollar houses but haven't got 2 pennies to rub together, technically they're all net worth millionaires ( its how burger land has more millionaires than any other country, 18 million millionaires -fun fact) don't get caught up in the net worth argument, its all about monthly income and liquidity. I'd say don't spend more than 10% of your monthly income on car, if you've got more than $10k a month coming in then go for your life

Never spent more than 5k on cars. They only last 5-8 years for me before it breaks or is wrecked more then I feel like fixing. By then it's fully depreciated

I've had the same car for 13 years now (07 civic)
I paid a little less than 18k for it, and financed for 3 years with 0 out of pocket at 1.9%.
The total cost was about $18,540 with interest.
So if you wanna break that up, it's cost me roughly $1426 a year so far to drive this car. That number only goes down the longer i keep it and I intend to for at least two more years. I know every single piece and part that went in and out of it, I know it wasn't driven by some 16 year old who can't drive, and I know it has no accidents or women who don't take care of it in it's life.
Can you say the same of a used car?
Depreciation is negligible if you don't intend to sell it.

I like cars, so I have 4 I just like machines man. 73’ Porsche 911 smooth lines curves like no other aero dynamics you know? the you got shit like Scion TC looks like a lunch box but runs like a rocket. Americucks will buy the newest “American muscle car” like the electric mustang just to flex. They don’t respect the craft man. Lamborghini and Ferrari craftsmanship is shit but only on the mass produced 100k models, because they know only niggers want them. See a nice infinity coupe nice body work decent aero shit interior but looks rich and Nissan makes that man.

Buying outright is a meme. Even billionaires know this.

I got my car and paid it completely but realized that I could have bought shitcoins with that money. So I took out a loan bigger than the car and used it to buy PNK.

Don't forget that life is short and you only have one. Learn to live a little. But don't be retarded.

arent cars like ferari's and lambos useless for daily driving and become paperweights at high milage? This is my main reason for being interested in Porsche since its a daily driver and some give the supercars a run for their money at a fraction of the cost and superior reliability

I did buy an 87 Porsche 944 for 1750. Fixed it some and sold it for 3500 after the police kept busting me for weed

>I've had the same car for 13 years now (07 civic)
yeah and how much did you spend on maintenance?
