If you were the owner of the erc20 token, you could add a method which transfers tokens from Vitalik's address to some other address, making it look like he sent them.

ERC20 tokens are basically a database of addresses and how many tokens each address holds. Normal ERC20 token contracts make sure that when you call transfer, you don't fuck with other people's coins. However, if I add a method into my contract and make it only callable by me I can fuck around with people's balances.
