Yes but with my friend group. They went from being normal to extreme left in only a few years. It happened so fast. All of them work in tech while I left the industry entirely and started my own business.

I highly suspect their stock options are what keep them psychologically hostage. I don't hear this ever discussed but it explains a lot of what's going on lately. They are programming themselves into the cult, because the alternative is getting fired and missing out on potential millions. In that environment there's no room to be a chameleon. If they tell you that you are racist you have to believe it. You have no choice. If you stick to your beliefs you will become disgruntled and rage quit, or slip up and get fired. If you aren't one of them the hive will sniff you out and turn on you. The whole situation is even worse if you have a family that depends on you. It's scary to watch this happening to them.
