The flu is different every year. I had this new flu in fall of '19 before this hoax came to light. It's a pretty bad flu and I can see how it's more lethal to boomers. With that said, it's still just a flu and most will recover. Each year this flu will be worse in the coming decade for obvious reasons.
The other problem is they can engineer any virus they want and this probably is a show of force and warning to any whitehats or whatever you want to call them. Planet is still being held hostage and viruses are just one of the millions of ways they show (((their))) power level if challenged.
