>MUH BOOTLOADER

>MUH FLASHING UPDATE
>MUH GENUINE CHECK
>MUH SHITTY DESKTOP APP
>MUH BACKTOSCOOL 15% DISCOUNT
WHY DIDNT I JUST GET A TREZOR
FUCK THIS PIECE OF SHIT
INVESTING INTO LUIGI WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER FINANCIAL DECISION THAN BUYING LEGER
PIECE OF SHIT
they'll leak your email too
Why when I try to swap tokens or try to move tokens from hardware to metmask account it doesn't let me approve on the ledger? It works once every 20 times. I have to exit out of Chrome and when I go back into Chrome it says it didn't work and that there was probably a problem with the sign up stage or something.
>DOESNT WORK ON ANYTHING BUT WIN 10
Post proof; it works on Windows 10, never had an issue with
That said, I like Trezor more, but retarded claims are retarded
>WHY DIDNT I JUST GET A TREZOR
because you are clueless
>using chrome
Haven't had this issue with Firefox, possibly try Firefox or Brave, different USB cable, change the allow to deny then back to allow for the setting on the actual device that makes it work with Metamask (Allow contract data may be the wording)
I have used a ledger for a year or so now and have had no issues that I wasn’t able to solve within 5 minutes. Are people on /biz really this retarded. You probably wouldn’t be able to use a trezor correctly either.
Don’t buy shit coins anyways. Problem solved
Where do they even get your email? Never had to enter one to use it
Still if you are buying a device and do not have one, buy a Trezor unless you need XLM/XRP and a few others that the cheap Trezor doesn't support; or just stop being poor and buy the $160~ Trezor which is infinitely better than any other option
I use mine on Linux just fine
>retarded
Many such cases
Same brainlets saying "car doesnt work"
>it ran out of gas
search up ledger email hack
1 million email addresses got leaked, meaning the pajeets can now spam you with shitcoin ads.
ledger also doesn't have the best track record security wise, someone figured out how to trick people into thinking they were sending 1 LTC when they were sending 1 BTC in reality.
wtf? literally selling my ledger and buying a trezor right now
literally never had a problem with anything
user I am not doubting the email fiasco and I do agree open source is much better (Trezor) than closed source (Ledger)
I am genuinely asking where are these people inputting their email information, I have yet to see any prompt to request this information? It definitely is not in the initial setup steps, those are as simple as PIN/Seed/Genuine check/Password for Ledger live program. No part of that requires or even asks for an email
Well, buying a ledger through the official website requires you to register I think
never had an issue with mine desu
Just use a ColdCard
ok bitcoin maxipad
self custody of altcoins is retarded. it's like storing your used underwear in a bank vault
Makes sense, I would recommend buying from Amazon then, you would want to confirm it is sold by 'Ledger official' and not try to save a few dollars ending up buying from non genuine seller
Again, I really would encourage Trezor over Ledger but it's worth knowing these negative claims are mostly baseless, aside from closed source vs open source, that should be simple enough for everyone to know which is better based on that alone
>still thinks eth is a shitcoin
cringe
>Not keeping all your crypto on metamask
ngmi
lmao based 12 word seed phrase keylogger wallet
stop it anons you are scaring me about my ledger I bought it when I started getting into crypto because it seemed like the responsible thing to do...Ive never had issues with it but im scared now I havent used it in 6 months
Did you register on their website with your personal information?
I would be a bit more concerned if you have done that, otherwise not much to worry about. If you did add your personal information, possibly consider buying a Trezor and send half of assets to that just to be safer than sorry
would you store batteries in a bank vault?
I'm literally using a Ledger with Linux. Zero issues
user i bought a trezor months ago and just yesterday got my ledger nano s. Ledger is a bit weird with tx's on metamask, but the functionality is infinitely better and i feel much safer using it.
If you use metamask at all, youll know that ledger very clearly shows you WHAT address youre interacting with and what you are sending(100 usdc, etc). On trezor, all you get is a meaningless blob saying "send message to 0x90182391301928391273891hsiudhjwiajd yes or no?"
do you even know what ethereum is retard?
do you store your gasoline in a bank vault?
if it was worth $378 a gallon, yes asshole
>Did you register on their website with your personal information?
yes but would they be able to hack a hard wallet with just my email
no lol, the whole idea of a hardwallet is about needing your physical wallet to access your funds
and you're confident that it would hold that value?
Both are shit.
Just store your private keys in a cryptographed pendrive. Or write them down and store the paper in a safe.
I'll introduce you to a word: convenience
Will not be able to hack based on that information
Is correct
The only concern with personal information is that they have supposedly (I do not have a source) have leaked this information in the past or someone has compromised Ledger's database and pulled this information
This would mean someone would know who has and who does not have Ledgers (IE potentially lots of crypto assets), no different than if someone knows that you have a few nice watches or other physical assets that they can prey upon/take
To my best understanding, funds are safe on Ledger and Trezor
