been a while since we made this threads boys. lets see the rigs youre mining chainlink with, any stories, info, tutorials, etc.
pic related is my rig. getting 1.3 links a day, not amazing but not bad!

>Chainlink
>Mining
>he is not aware of the erc upgrade
Locked my links at 20 dollars so don't even need to mine anymore, they're just quietly sitting on my ledger
lol he doesn’t know
>pic related is my rig. getting 1.3 links a day
is that net of electricity costs?
my computer is shit so I make 0.015 LINK per day.
still worth it because im not paying for electricity
I was earning approx 2 LINK a day, but since it went parabolic and the APY dropped it's been about 0.6-0.8 LINK/day.
Same and lockpilled
looks like the actual retard doesnt get the joke
Aka selling at 20
I finally got mine up and running, idk what tutorial you followed but I had a lot of fucking problems
How much electricity does it take to mine per day though?
And the rig costs thousands and degrades with use?
What's the point?
should I buy a bitmain chainlink miner? I have free electricity but the miner looks expensive.
Where to mine link?
I thought you couldn't mine chainlink?
There any websites that have tutorials?
thanks just mined 100k link scams
how many 3090's do I need to mine a make it stack of stinks?
>How much electricity does it take to mine per day though?
About $150 a month
>And the rig costs thousands and degrades with use?
Doesn't degrade with use really. But a lot of us have leftover ETH rigs. May not be economical yet, but once LINK hits highs again it'll be worth it.
look up online calculators for hash rates
I use a cloud host that connects to my internet explorer and allows me to mine wirelessly from my PC. It cost me about 79 dollars for a cloud package of 3000 minutes of cloud mining. This resulted in my mining 10 link tokens doing absolutely nothing other than clicking some buttons and making sure my PC doesn’t go to sleep.
>not using free trial GC account to mine 5 LINK / account
ngmi
1Q2021 staking will drop my electricity costs by about 61.8%.
I think your math is bad the last time I looked at my spreadsheet (accounting for winter time electric bill surcharges) it was like 50% at most
there was this paper released a while back that discussed the processing power of older PC architecture for mining link. the funny thing is, it seemed there was something in the deign of older x86 PCs that allowed for 1000x boost in mining productivity when compared mhz to mghz with modern computers. there were instructions on how to build a super mining PC with old architecture for like 200 dollars. might be worth a go.
now that i'd like to see. maybe they dropped some set of instructions that nobody used.
It's because older processors (like the successors to the SX33 and DX66) had different instruction sets than the current generation of PCs (although mostly backwards compatible, some were removed) because there isn't a need for them anymore due to modern GPUs. So you can either have an ASIC custom made (dies are like $130k a piece), or you can dig up old PC hardware and get a fan and a NIC that works. Your choice.
i'd like to read the details.
i wonder if a microcode update could restore or re-implement those instructions.
hmmm that's actually a good thought. we would probably need an insider that works at Intel to either leak the private keys to sign the firmware, or give us some mechanism to do so.... holy fuck think of how much money could be made from that though.....
link that shit
will probably never happen. it would be pretty funny if it did though
Interestingly, I’ve written a Chainlink miner for an old iMac I have that has the old PowerPC processor, and I must say, the results are astounding, at least 5x the performance compared to a bitmain link miner.
