I’m a fucking retard. My attendance issues at this job I’ve had for almost five years now is getting bad. I took shifts that started at 6 in the fucking morning and this is my second no call no show and I’ve had plenty of warnings for lateness. I’m so fucking fucked.

What do you do? I work in a call center and I relish how much I can get away with. Their turnover is so high, they just have to deal with me calling out every other week and habitual lateness :)

I've done this before and this was very much the case.

I slept through all my alarms so I couldn’t call in late. I didn’t get up until 2.5 hours after my shift started.

Just tell your boss what happened and say this schedule isn't working for you. Or sleep at like 9; that's what I do to wake up at 5.

You went to bed too late. If your shift starts are 6 you need to be in bed at 9 or earlier. Then your body will wake you up or you won't be so exhausted you sleep through your alarm

Working where I did, I did end up getting a pretty bad rap for calling out and working our disciplinary action system like clockwork. As soon as points for one infraction fall off, I'd rack em back up again within the week lmao

Just call your boss, have a "heart to heart" with him saying you had trouble at home and guarantee that you'll have perfect attendance from now on. And stick to it.

I had crazy bad attendance at work, big boss pulled me up to the office and gave me a official warning then got moved to another section and did the same shit, got sent to HR and just told em had family issues and got a aggressive with em. Just sat at home beating dick because couldn't be fucked, didn't turn up for 3 days straight and when they asked where I was said I didn't know.

Why didn't you have a smart contract running that would automatically call in for you if you sleep through the alarms?
