I'm actually more qualified to talk about this than most anons. I'm employed with a cyber-techno machinations company, I do a lot of security analyst programming type work. Open source, decentralized, APIs, partnerships, you name it. We'd be one of the first companies in line for something like Chainlink, if the decentralized smart contract space had more value over traditional data exchanges. There's a catch though, an underlying flaw more deeply embedded in the bedrock of LINK than the very code itself. The flaw is with the concept, and it's this: Companies won't actually go through the hassle of trusting their data API's through crypto.

Now I can already hear your keyboards going frantic, but hear me out. Zig Forums hates banks, and traditional data providers. But actual companies, businesses, and investors do not. There's an old saying you might have heard of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". The idea that any of our bosses would give us the go ahead if we approached them to put our companies valuable data in a smart contract on a cryptocurrency called Chainlink, that they've never heard of, we'd be laughed out at best and fired on the spot at worst. We already have API data buyers and providers we trust.

'But Chainlink is trustless!' I hear you cry, but is that really a good thing? Just listen to the sound of it. Businesses don't want to spend millions of dollars on something that is trustLESS, they want something trustFUL. 'But the reputation system!', doesn't that defeat the whole point of your coin? If companies only trust nodes with high reputation, what's the difference between trusting banks and data providers that already have reputation, but in real life not on a computer screen.

The fact is, LINK is going to share the same fate as ETH will. A lot of 'real world application' hype, with a lot of 'crypto world application' reality. Only, this billion supply coin isn't going to come close to the $1k that Etherum hit.

I really don't know enough about this world but what you're saying ostensibly makes logical sense...So what would you suggest as an investment alternative? What's the next Bitcoin in your eyes?

my nigga btc is a cryptocurrent and chainlink is a utility token lmfao. must be your first day

I mean it's hyped to be 'big' like Bitcoin (my nigga)

Its pasta

Its a capped asset that us held by retards that will never sell. It will literally only ever go up.

>Convince me not to buy Chainlink.
Why the fuck would anyone waste their time doing that? Lmfao.

Because Bitcoin is a brand and a speculation bubble.
Chainlink is an actual product and can't brush off market logic like Bitcoin does. The market cap for now it's Chainlink's biggest enemy. I honestly don't think it's going higher than $15 but do what you want.

Just warning you that if it actually goes x5 or whatever, PLEASE sell because it's doing an XRP.

Helping out your littke reddit rapefugee i see?

Link is the next btc in gains. No question the safest bet in crypto right now.

It's KYC shit.

It has:

>No unique use case
>Abysmal transaction times
>Astronomical transaction fees
>All the problems of PoS without any solutions to them
>Will have any potential market share absolutey gobbled up by FLARE

It's a PnD scheme with garbage fundamentals. Memes and barking mad speculation drive its price and nothing else.

I relized this lmao

It seems to me that Link holds the most possibility. It has potential to go real high. Nothing else seems to have that potential.

This guy agrees

You have to go back.

No, why? I don't wanna go back.

Who here holds link in their portfolio and what percentage of your total portfolio?

Can we stop with the ChainLink threads already. Yes, grats, you waited 3 years for your pump and you got it. Those who sold, grats, you make a fortune. Those of you who didn't, I am sorry.

Chainlink WILL suffer the same faith as every other altcoin who had a similar parabolic run. Fundamentals in a sector purely based on speculation won't save any coin from entering the crypto graveyard.
