So you have 2/3 chances of getting the chance at a gold ball. Out of the two boxes you have 50/50 of a chance or guaranteed gold ball. If you pick the gold and silver box it’s another 50/50. Taking the ball out would change the probability of getting the golden ball in the second attempt. If you grab it from the second box silver and gold your Chances are now absolute 1/3. But if you grab the the first gold gold box you’re guaranteed a gold if you choose from the first again. It’s only 50/50 if you chose from the 2nd box

Call the balls in the first two boxes Gold1, Gold2, Gold3 and Silver1.
The other stuff we don't care about, it has no impact.

You have a gold ball in your hand it's either;
Gold 1, and you find yourself another gold ball.
Gold 2, and you fnd yourself another gold ball
Gold 3, and you find yourself a silver ball.
So the answer is 2 / 3.

This is a seemingly easy problem but it's actually university math.
