wrong. In 2015-2016 if you went on r/bitcoinmarkets everyone was talking about 20k being the next ATH. In fact I have texts where I jokingly said "I'll sell at $20k" when friends asked me when I was selling. I didn't actually believe it so I sold much earlier, but never underestimate the power of memes when it comes to Bitcoin.

You're right, that's why I only hold alts. BTC dominance has been slowly but surely falling the last 10 years, no reason to think the thread will reverse, especially now that we know that it won't ever scale, that normies got burned and that plenty of alts are building actual useful ecosystems.
