Assholes like you are the reason i had to spend $1400 for a computer.

We do.

kek this, op is a fag

Ha too bad faggots get fucked.

I do and have made a bit of pocket change from time to time. My rig is nothing special just 2 RX 580's which have 8 gb of ram and 1 Radeon VII with 16 gb of HBM ram. The rig pumps out roughly 140 MH on eth at about 500 watts from the wall. It's paid for it self with the recent pump of BTC.
Wrong it's the price gouging manufacturers that you continue to buy from that caused this, but as usual no one on Zig Forums, Zig Forums and /g/(alternate Zig Forums ) have any brains to comprehend things they cry and whine about.

well shit man is not like there's even 10 different manufacturers to choose from.
Its just amd and intel.
I went with the cheapest option btw, amd.

Can all coins be mined? What about tokens? Is the process different for each one or really just about the same?

is it worth mining on a 3090 ?

Have turned my old gaming PC from college into a $2 per day money printing machine with RX 580s. And just ordered 6 5700 XTs. Have yet to receive the GPUs but real happy with my rig so far. The PCIe cable planning is the worst though. I'm pretty sure I have it down but I don't want to burn my rig.

I mean I have a 1080ti but if I started mining I'd wear her out and I'd bump my electric bill probably.

i mine chainlink. its freakin sick.

wut

Nice I've got 2 5700xt's and 3 5600xt's.. waiting for black friday to buy another one. Power cables were a cocksucker for me too.. ended up using molex to power the risers on my 5700s as a solution. they wouldn't draw more than 50w a piece

Nice. I wish I had enough 8 perif ports to power each riser with one Molex. Then I know I'd be golden.

As of now I have 9 VGA slots on my power supply. 8 VGA cables that split into an 8 pin and a 6 pin. I plan to plug the 8 pin into my 5700's first 8 pin, and then split the 6 pin (one to my 5700's second 8 pin -- the other to the 6 pin riser).

This way I can have 8 GPUs in this rig eventually. PSU is 1600 watts. It sucks writing all that out, but hopefully that makes sense.

I figure each cable coming out of each VGA slot will be able to handle 218 watts without melting. Each GPU should take around 100 watts when mining and BIOS modded and overclocked and undervolted. So I should be good.

My only concern is on system reboots where the original settings kick back in. Each card could try to draw up to 225w and I'm afraid of starting a fire when I'm gone or in the middle of the night.

Just don't use sata to power your risers. I'm getting 231MH/s on my 5 cards. The 5600s do 40 each and the 5700s do 56MH/s. Total wattage pull from the wall is 730w. Not too shabby.

On whattomine.com looks like you'd get about 70¢ per day with that card right now after electric.

Token jews have ruined mining, the gains are fucking miniscule and there's just nothing new anymore

Realistically it'd be 200 watts per hour which would be 12 cents and according to my calculations I'd spend $90 a month on electricity and the most profitable crypto according to better hash would net me $30.
I'd lose money, wear my card out and have a noisy computer turned on all day.
Its a shit deal all around.

My 5700s use like 95w when overclocked .. but like 195w after reboot. I made the mistake of buying the THICC III 5600 which has 3 fans instead of 2.. and also has an 8 pin and a 6 pin instead of just one 8 pin. Pain in the ass.

This. Not using SATA. I wish I had 8 peripheral ports on my power supply. One slot to power each riser with Molex. Instead I only have 2 Perif slots and 6 useless SATA slots.

The ideal mining power supply would have 8 VGA slots, 8 Perif slots. Perfect for an 8 GPU rig. Surprised no one has built one yet when motherboards are designed to be mining specific.

this is sadly the truth, its over for he gpu mining game if u wanna get now, the glorious days of 2016/17 are gone

>glorious days of 2016/17
2009 - 2015 were the golden years, you could throw shit gpus and cpus at anything and come out on top because mining was the only way to get the coin for "free", ICOs were the start of the end for mining because now jews just mint whatever number they want like a bank and sell it for whatever price they want; mining is true crypto

Just buy a cpu with integrated graphics You absolute mongoloid

the graphics card was $300 out of the $1400
i mean it wasn't cheap.
And I even had to go with an 350m m stands for mini bros
MINI

i know but most of us missed those years, i got into crypto and mining in 2016 but heard about btc in 2012, still hurts today knowing i couldve mined the corns on cheap equipment had i simply googled the basics

Chegged. I live in government housing and I connect a small farm of ASICS from the power of the building’s breakers (Which are accessible) instead of My own breaker so I don’t pay electricity. Nobody says anything and I’m making about 12 dollars a day. Free money bro

I googled the basics at the time but believed the "it costs more in electricity" meme. There is so much fud on the internet it's unreal. Never really recognized it until I found Zig Forums and learned to spot pajeet fud and shills from a mile away. 2021 is looking good and while the best time to plant a tree was ten years ago, the second best time is now.

i was mining the scam safex.,
but no future because dabek the scammer is dumping the price, better to mine monero or loki.
safex is definitely a scam shitcoin piece of shit

you just made me remember, i actually looked into it too i think i fell for the same meme lol damn fudders it was so long ago and i was stoned out of my mind

Awe poor babies can’t play bideo gwames!!

>better to mine monero
mining monero is pointless unless you have an actual farm of some sort, if you have one or two gpus you aren't gonna make shit
