Yes, I "wasted" my early 20s (19-25) on literally doing nothing else than working. I spent the normal 8 hours + 2-4h pretty much every day, weekends and holidays included for the extra money. I didn't start investing until I was 24, but before then up until I quit I bought as many shares at the company I worked for as I could and since they doubled most of them after 5 years I got a nice bonus when I sold everything and quit. Oh and when I was 23, I got hit by a forklift and the company paid me $30k in compensation. I bought an apartment which I'm paying roughly $300 a month for (which I'm paying off with my unemployment benefits), I have no debt and no car. All I've been doing for a little over a year now is just investing/trading with all the money I have, while I use the unemployment check to pay for every day things and since I barely do anything I save most of what I get aswell.. so yeah, I'm comfy even though I haven't really /madeit/ just yet. Fuck working for someone else like a slave, get it over with fast and quit
