I would like to tell you what happened to me today and it's really sad as i'm still a bit down thinking about it.

Okay, so basically i've got a donation from my mom about a month ago worth 10k in euros. The plan was to invest in Kleros which i did. I've made 140k worth of pnk tokens with that investment.

Okay, so about 3 days ago i saw an opportunity to bet on trump which would make me able to buy 400k tokens which was something i just didn't want to leave aside.

Okay, here came my bet on trump with the odds of 2.55 on him winning. which would get me 66.9 worth of eth(and no i i'm not going with the 666 here, i will post a screenshot down bellow so you can see i'm not bluffing).
Okay so basically what happened is that after the last debate on the 22nd the odds on trump went up and that made me a bit nervous as it went to 2.70.

Okay so today i've decided to cash out my bet and tryed to make a profit with betting on some mls game which could have given me the extra edge for the trump game.

tl;dr i've lost all of my money.
It's a catastrophe really, but i won't lose hope. I've contacted the betting site stake.com Immediately after it happened and the best they could do to me was to send me a little more than 1eth back to me. I still thank them cause i take full responsibility for my actions.

All i would like to say to you anons is that DON'T EVER CHASE YOU'RE LOSSES.

Why would you all-in either of those things? Investing is one thing, but the first rule of actual gambling is bankroll management and NEVER going all-in. Because of variance, you can make the right decisions for months and still lose. If you have a 60% chance of winning (which is great odds for most gambles), that means you still have a 5% chance of losing 3 60% favor bets in a row.

Well, I hope you learned your lesson. Most professional sports betters won't make a bet worth more than 5% of their total bankroll, and I know lots who drop down in stakes if they're getting over 1%

The swings with sports better can be absolutely fucking brutal, even worse than poker. As said before, variance is a bitch (and you should definitely read up on variance and probability in general before degening more money away on retarded shit)

I must say i do feel some sort of a competition with my ignorant friends, but the point of it all is to reduce the system restrictions in my way as much as possible.
