what are the best hardware wallets
What are the best hardware wallets
Trezor
Coldcard simply because its bitcoin only
cryptosteel
a piece of paper
Sheet of bronze with private keys hammered in.
Waste of money.
here's what I do: each one of my link's is stored in a separate wallet. I then encrypted each character of the private keys for each wallet using sha256 with a target difficulty of 17.35 E so they need to be mined using ASICS to be unlocked. the encrypted private key characters are imprinted on tens of thousands of plates cryptosteel. i then mailed them to hundreds of countries, and thousands of cities using sergey's random number generator to truly achieve decentralization.
paper burns in a fire, get cryptosteel
Sharpie in pooper unironically. You keep having to rewrite it as you shit each time but by the 100th bowel movement you'll have it memorized.
ledger
got one, no complaints. Trezor looked cheap to me. Don't remember the reason rn, maybe it was something that deserved a boycott? I take my boycotts seriously. I really should to write down these stuff lol.
why?
Does it protect against jet fuel?
Open source, made by dude into btc since early days. Ledger is french and proprietary, see req
Jet fuel can't melt steel
Keepkey
i just post my private keys to my friends discord server and the kids are too retarded to know the order of the words but the important words and the order of them are stuck in my brain now.
Coldcard for BTC. NGRAVE for alts.
Coinbase app on your phone
Tl;dr
If you have a word seed on that paper/steel, yes. If you only have the private key printed on that, no. It would be too risky to get your coins from that address.
just remembered, their shipping costs it was their shipping costs to my country
dont boycott trezor bros, my mistake
Don't be a brainlet. Memorize all your seed phrases, addresses, and private keys.
i hope u commit suicide when u enter ur keys into metamask and all ur tokens are stolen
Who the hell uses metamask? You have to run your own private ETH, BTC, & XMR nodes. Jesus, this should be simple stuff.
Ledger gave your home address out to criminals who knw you own crypto lol
this, you just need a $100-$150 RPi 4 set up, if that.
I have a bunch of core ii duo computers free from a university. It's not hard to run your own nodes for nothing.
I have a ledger and I fucking hate it
Trezor "fatal-error"ed on my a couple of times which is kinda scary...
I'm afraid Trezor is also less secure than Ledger because it's open source
Any good reason to go Trezor Model T over Trezor One? Price difference doesn't bother me, as long as it's not "premium" branded bullshit.
"Open source is less secure than closed source" is a bullshit 90s cliche. Even Microsoft's moved on from that FUD.
I hope my trezor t gets here tomorrow bros. I'm excited.
with the newest model you can customize your little circle image on the home screen which is worth it already for me
