Currently I think there is close to zero demand by any company for "calling a heavy computation from a smart contract and retrieving the result" - I mean, I can't think of a single scenario where a company needs this. All other "features" are voided by the fact that only centralized clouds are available as workers, therefore can't be cheaper than just using the cloud without the middleman in the first place.

That the team doesn't have plans for reopening the public worker pools is a huge red flag for adoption imho, as this was their initial USP and they completely dropped it.
