It all depends on how much you're willing to spend.
If you get like 100 videocards you're looking at almost $2000 a month.
But you'd have to spend like 20k for 100 radeon 580x cards.
Maybe you can get a discount if you buy them in bulk though.
Still it'll pay for itself in less than a year, but then again is hard to tell with the change in difficulty.
Its a risky venture.

I still do it for a tiny drip of cash during the winter as kind of a space heater since I have a couple of gaming PCs with good cards/CPUs for mining.

If you have a ryzen CPU it's pretty decent at mining monero. Just don't expect much more than like a dollar a day in profits.

This all assumes you have cheap electricity though.
