In the current market we are in, the chance of a ticker running post-earnings is unlikely especially with a megacap stock like FB. If you're talking about last earnings season in Q2 where we had a massive tech bull run, you bet your ass it was sometimes a good idea to hold though earnings and yes the run up doesn't happen often, but can happen on tickers with smaller market caps. Just don't wait too long to sell the call. You won't be the only person wanting to offload calls/shares tomorrow..
