LEDGER HAS BEEN HACKED

I got a similar email just a minute ago, but on mine it said “approximately 86,000” and it sign off with “Sincerely, Legder”

It’s obviously a scam but HOW DID THEY GET A HOLD OF MY EMAIL? The want me to click on a link to “restore” my crypto, but I ain’t clicking on that shit nigga. First the summer attack and now this? Tell me bro’s once and for all: Do attackers need to take my Ledger psychically from me to steal my crypto or is it theoretically possible for them to “hack” into my wallet?

bro you're gonna download it and put your key into the hackers terminal and you'll be compromised.

ledger got hacked out of like a million user emails a while ago. scammers are probably using the list to scam people

I didn’t click on it bro, I initially got an heart attack but then my brain reasoned me into believing that it’s impossible to “hack” a ledger without psychical access

They could have got your email from one of the CEX hacks. They might be sending that to everyone even if they don't have a ledger

>OW DID THEY GET A HOLD OF MY EMAIL?
Probably because Ledgers servers where they store their clients personal data arent as well protected as they should be

This is what's happening.

The email that these scammer used to send this mail to me is “[email protected]” and NOT “[email protected]” as it should be, they swapped the d and g in ledger.

>HOW DID THEY GET A HOLD OF MY EMAIL
there was a "hack" a while ago and someone got a hold of a large list of personal data of users who purchased a ledger on their website or something.
They are probably just going through the email list and sending out phishing scams

beat me to it

>Do attackers need to take my Ledger psychically from me to steal my crypto
Yes, do you know how the ledger works? Your funds are not at risk unless you give them more info, which you would be doing by clicking on links from the scammers that sent the email.

Yeah, this
I was wondering, it can't possibly be that difficult to fake a non-PGP E-Mail?

fuck you, you deserve it

obvious phishing email

imagine using a ledger or trezor when you can just use trust wallet

>but muh phone virus

non-existent and never had to deal with bs email leaks

user i purchased a ledger after their email hack and i didn't receive this communication
seems like a scam

Yeah, I got texted this
Figured it was fake because Secure Enclave’s can’t be hacked

The concerning thing is that they most likely have full names and addresses of thousands of costumers, but I mean people reveal their faces on youtube associated with crypto so maybe I’m being paranoid

a qt grindr trap hacked my secure enclave last night

Ledgers Online store had a data breach a couple of months back. It was only the online store so they got names and emails.

What % of people you think they can catch?

legder lol

thank god i’m low iq and bought my ledger off amazon

I bought mine off a verified reseller so I wasn't in the data breach. I never thought that would be an advantage kek

Glad I never got one of these pieces of shit

They could be shotgunning known crypto emails, not necessarily knowing if they own a ledger or not.

Got a text message with my full name. Ordered my ledger way before the site was breached. Almost a year before their claimed date.

I think anyone who bought one is fucked and they're downplaying this severely. I recieved an email back then but they didn't say I was compromised.

Imagine how much fucking money they are making right now

write back that you had a horrible boating accident... and now your ledger is gone but you have the seed if they could help you restore it... you are too dum dum to do it and you don't have a ledger anyhow. insist on someone showing you how to in person. have the cops dry hump sanjeet.

wasnt that obvious the first 5 minutes, I had a damn near heart attack.

still a clever phish you may not notice it when reading fast
