Everyday I check the BTCUSD charts and regret investing into Vanguard ETFs instead of buying crypto with my friends. Am I ever going to make it or am I stuck wage slaving for 40 years? My P/L for my """diversified""" global portfolio is 7% total over the last 3 years.

i dont know what im going to do im going to kill myself. my life is too shitty to avoid to gamble i only have a couple thousand stocks are crashing and takes too fucking long to do anything.

EVERY TIME I BUY IT GOES DOWN

EVERY TIME

There are plenty of stock opportunities that jump fast quickly. GME from $4 to $14 was valid, WKHS from $20, SHLL from ~$10 to >$50, etc.
Otherwise, you can learn to trade.

just hold and average down

A toast to those who were smart enough to secure their profits and a prayer to those who chose to baghold by not selling this last week.

I'm not a bobo or a bull, but I really wanna see a circuit breaker on futures. To those that were here in March, what did that look like? Were futures already down -3% before the opening bell?

I work 50-60 hours a week at a programming job that I hate making below average wages. How am I supposed to have time to research these companies? I barely have enough time to make my Vanguard contributions. With crypto I could have just bought BTC and held. At this point I feel I'm committed just hoping stock market will make some real gains again sometime soon. People that started investing in 2009 are so lucky. Seems like market is all luck.

invest in both, user. that's what anyone with half a brain is doing

invest in some g34s and drive into a BLM riot. don't go out like a pussy.

Be in these threads after hours or during the weekend and you would’ve at least gotten knowledge of every pick mentioned there.

reposting: The election and it being contested = dump. But after that, what would cause more dump? Covid? That isnt already priced in?

and then lose triple the amount in 20 minutes compared to a -7% circuit breaker that atleast gives you 15 minutes to get out?

Go check the single red dildo on BTC chart kek, -40.5% or some shit

I don't remember which companies, it was in a feature story on the Karpmeister

what do you mean? like, to be fair, the results are real, and both his daughter and several of his students have pulled off similar feats in the same competition. clearly he's got something going on, but from what i've researched it is heavily fundamentals-based apparently, and during the time he did it i guess he got to 800k and dropped to 300k for months.
>reddit.com/r/Forex/comments/9fiqqu/thoughts_on_larry_williams_and_his_trading_methods/
>You really need to be very very resistant trader. I saw the graph of larry williams trading through that year. He went like in third or four month to 800 000 dolars and then down to 300 000 which he was for several months. There are not many traders who have balls to trade like this including me.

guess i'll just keep researching, practicing, and backtesting/forward testing, idk. currently i only trade small share sizes but it would be nice to find something that really worked well especially for day trading that i could just wash rinse repeat every day and be confident in its effectiveness enough to put large sums of my money into it.

that's my biggest fear right now, even though im well capitalized i don't use it to its full potential because im not really sure if im gonna be profitable if i keep doing a strategy over a long period of time, even if the backtesting is good. i feel like it can also be worrisome to do a dip buying strategy like i would like to do where i have prices i can DCA into and scale out of, but you have to be really confident and have faith that the price will in fact go up eventually as you keep averaging down and have larger and larger unrealized losses for a while, potentially months.

Is Monday the last day to buy UVXY, SQQQ, or SPXS?

>invest into treasury bond ETF
>write naked puts on equities
Does this work? It's like holding cash but you also get interest.
If you're at risk of assignment just sell enough bonds to cover.

Digits.
Even for PUMP WEEK.
Odd for DUMP WEEK.

I'm trying to understand covered calls and cash secured puts and how to roll calls.
Below is purely hypothetical:

>buy 100 stocks at $100 totaling $10,000
>sell CC w/ strike price of $110
>stock gets to 109.5 and I want to roll my call
Do I need to pay $1,100 to do this? or does it just cancel my covered call?
If I bought in this same scenario would I need to have $21,000 on hand?

What's the difference between now and 2009? We have an even bigger QE now

>Sell TQQQ covered calls at open
>Closed at $113
>buy more TQQQ with difference
>Average down cost basis, only lose about 3% on a massive red day

Too easy

I am bailing out of AAPL. Without innovation that Jobs and Ive brought, this bloated pig is going the way of Nokia and Blackberry. I will just be a slower decline

You hold til expiry or when you can buy back for a penny.
"Rolling" is buying back your covered call and selling the covered call for the week ahead.
Wheel is when you let yourself get assigned if needed and to never buy back the position. So if it went to $112 then you take the assignment and sell for $110. Then you use that as collateral to sell a $110 put.

oh jesus im so fucking cold i just wish i had money and friends

Your TLT will net you approximately 1% returns over 10 years and your puts on equities will give you average 10% a year. Just buy SPY instead.

are you a retard? jobs wanted to keep a 4 inch screen forever.

so far they've released touch id, wireless headphines, face id, smaller big and medium phones, ultra cameras, apple watch, haptic feedback.

what the hell else do you want?

>jobs wanted to keep a 4 inch screen forever.
And he was 100% right. To this day normalfags buy apple phones even when they hate apple shit because (their own admission) they're basically the only ones selling small-screened phones that actually fit in pockets.

>No, Ms Bond, my win is not "racist" and "white privilege"

Also

Failure

Failure

MASSIVE failure

Failures
> ultra cameras,
Large failure
> apple watch,
Monumental failure to the point even appletards don't touch them
> haptic feedback.
The failurest of all failures.
Yikes!

Think different. That was what made them great. They are not doing that anymore.

this shit is stupid if you're not at least doing dubs.

>US Stock market
meme market that doesn't make any sense

>Chink stock market
cant trust them, unpredictable bc of CCP schemes

>Euro stock market
absolute shit tier! giving a crack addict all of my money would have the same effect

>Japanese stock market
not sure it even exists

guys where the fuck do I put my money

Wouldn't cash net -20% over the same 10 years because of inflation?

stop buying during a pandemic/election

they still have smaller phones i just got an iphone se awhile ago for $150 dollars that was 4 inches but they discontinued it. now theyre mostly doing 4.7

Chink stocks. Higher returns, but you are playing with fire.

Options question, here’s a hypothetical scenario about a fake stock called stock.x

Stock.x share price = $10

Let’s say I believe it’s going to $40.

I buy $10, $20, and $30 call options.

Question:
1) Let’s say stock.x does indeed go to $40 before expiry, will there be demand (greater fools) to buy my $10 calls?
2) if yes, why would they buy it?

day trade technicals on high liquidity stocks like AMD using a positive expectancy risk reward system and proper backtesting data. it's the only way.

No, it nets you 0%. The value of the $ you end up with is not corrected in any of these scenarios, so while your cash is worth -34% by buying power, your TLT is worth -33% anyway.
That's why I said get into SPY.

also after using a 4" screen for years i can tell you i got fucking sick of it and just wanted to switch to a bigger screen right away and they have software to make it easy to use with one hand.

you double tap the home button and it drags your screen down

Cannabro here. You put it in Cannabis. I just finished smoking the electric lettuce; and let me be the first and last to recommend Cannastocks!

>they still have smaller phones
That's my point: if they stop with the small iphones, they'll get a massive drop in profit, because wide swathes of normalfags are buying apple not because they like apple, but because apple has small phones.
>now theyre mostly doing 4.7
And until this is bigger than other people's, they'll keep that market share (reluctantly) because TINA, but after that this segment will drop from under them.
