cosmos is built with the developer in mind, it allows for full customization over any single feature of the chain, it doesn't force you to use a specific programming language thanks to the numerous virtual machines being built on top of the cosmos SDK by numerous devs, cosmos competitors are trying to be a better ethereum by scaling a single chain , instead cosmos follows the "many sovereign chains" model cause it knows that one size doesn't fit all, cosmos no barrier to entry is what will bring success to every project that understands this new paradigm
