Dollars need not matter user. The global reset along with hyperinflation and the impending stock market crash are going to turn your dollars into worthless Monopoly money. Whilst I believe in XMR and have 90% of my portfolio hedged in Monero I hold 10% XRP just incase.

In the long term, we do expect Monero to rise. We don't like putting dollar amounts on it though because we discourage moonboy culture. I'd recommend doing some research/lurking these generals and if you want to start DCA'ing then you should. Monero is not a scam. It's actually used. So Monero will be used 10 years from now if you think Cryptocurrency will exist 10 years from now AND if you think privacy will be in demand. That's at least what we believe. I think this show is going to go on longer than you would like to think. But getting into crypto now is clearly the smart move.

Kind of. Monero should be on more on ramps. This definitely has an impact on the price. But regulation for crypto is still up in the air and that scares exchanges. That being said, Monero will eventually get on more on ramps, as it is the only way to loosely track who is buying Monero. For now, it benefits the smart money who is accumulating. It's definitely based, because people buy Monero to use it. Of course, you can also buy and hold. But it's good that we have a crypto currency that isn't just about buying and holding like a pyramid scheme.

Yes I believe this discrepancy happened lately because a lot of money migrated from USD to BTC last year, when BTC went from 3k to 14k. But this difference will eventually come closer to zero once big investors understand they also need privacy.

what do you mean by secure? Proof of Work is tried and true, and the anti-asic resitance of Monero means anybody with a cpu can realistically mine at the cost of electricity. This prevents centralization of miners. Additionally, because Monero's ledgers are opaque, miners can never collude and censor transactions like they can with Bitcoin.

Assuming an efficient commodity mining market, the security interns of proof of work is the value of the block reward per unit time. Excluding fees, for Bitcoin that's currently 900 btc/day * $13,733 = $12,359,700 worth of PoW/day. For Monero it's ~960 xmr/day * $118 = $113,280 worth.
That doesn't account for factors like how centralised mining is (btc more centralised so higher risk of collusion) or lead time/up front investment to start mining (xmr lower less upfront investment since you can rent CPUs or offset CPU purchase costs by selling them later so miners could be less committed to the longevity of the network)
There's also a million other ways to think about security but those are obvious and quantifiable ones.
