What could this mean
Is not someone cashing out, just changing hands? Did they get offered something in return?

Owner of the wallet moved.

Do they sell it?

you were warned. There is still time to sell/short.

man if that ends up on an exchange and gets market sold it would trigger so many fucking longs it'd be 1 candle straight to the 3ks

Checked. Imagine what the price will be when this mad lad market buys $1bn of link.

no, bc1 is a SegWit address

Au revoir, nigger

was looking at the wrong one
It moved to bc1qa5wkgaew2dkv56kfvj49j0av5nml45x9ek9hz6 note the BC at the start means it is a segwit wallet, probably upgrading it from the legacy wallets

yes i realised i was looking at the wrong thing

Fuck I just bought don't dump it please.

Also the fee for that transaction was 11 dollars

sums like that are not market sold
it would be burning money

All on trump.

Imagine the pink fields if it dumped

>Dump $1 billion BTC
>IRS pic related

>he bought?

hackers aren't market makers nor wolf of wall street

they just steal and dump

Same address

yup, seems like they cracked it.

could also be the legit owner moving the btc to a new wallet.

holy shit

ELI5 how do people hack a random wallet?

Brute forcing by getting info from the owner such as previous passwords , birthdates , phone numbers etc.

So just trying to guess the password belonging to the wallet based on what the owner might have used?

Makes me nervous thinking about it and its not even mine. Why the fuck would you store 1 billion dollars of BTC in one wallet.

the chance that they cracked this wallet is uncomprehendingly small
better chance that the owner moved to a wallet with updated encryption.

Isn't the only piece of important info the private key?
Or is the private key hidden behind a password set by the user?

Ahem...
