Something that I don't understand that I would be interested to hear more opinions on: The argument is being made that Republican control of the Senate is bullish for big tech, as gridlock + Republican control means they won't break up tech monopolies I'm not sure why this is seen as the case, when it was the Republican Senate demanding CEOs to come testify / it's the Republican Senators who are upset about Twitter / Facebook news suppression. They are the ones more likely to push for big tech 'rule changes' Is the argument just that their free market principles will exceed their anger at election interference? That no matter how angry they were at the moves Twitter / Facebook pulled, they wouldn't dare interfere in the free market? What do you all think - is it something else?
