I just found an old Samsung hard drive behind books that I hidden around 10 years ago. I couldn't remember the place it was hidden (I have undiagnosed autism). Please wish me to have at least 100 bitcoins stored there. I remember that I once bought a lot of them on some exchange (unknown name, blue design) and moved to wallet on the drive.
Anyone here can please tell me what exchange it could be? The only thing I remember is blue design (in around 2010 year). There may be some btc, alts left, but for 90% the exchange is not exist or was hacked...
If someone help me to find name of the exchange I can share something if there are any bitcoins. I'll check the drive later this week, I have only acccess to smartphone at this moment.
This is the only chance in my life. I am so excited but also stressed a lot :(
Like you trying to run a confidence man scam right now?
Adam King
depends, are you an amerimutt or a europoor
Austin Martin
Lol fuck off you scamming fuck. My first reply was going to be my last until I saw your reply
Brayden Price
>lol I might have 100 btc >but I'll check the drive next week
Cameron Jackson
I totally believe you, scammer
Aaron Barnes
I'm from central Europe.
Why not, here is my discord: mike099#6571
Thank you for the exchange list :) I'll check them. It's a shame that I only remember blue design... I had like 100+ accounts saved in my notes, mainly for games, but also paxum, liberty reserve, like centralized wallets.

Find the correct exchange likely won’t help you obtain the BTC, as older buys tended to go straight into a private wallet with keys you needed to save. Any chance, there’s some old document on your computer or in a notebook where you may have written down your private keys?

I was also going to scam him >honeypot

I am not in rush, I know that this is very important to not make stupid emotional moves.
Juan Nelson
Are you sure that HDD is not formatted? Because recently I myself found a HDD that had a btc wallet in it (with btc) and tt was formatted so gg. I tried to recoger it but no success.
Tyler Cruz
How would I be trying to scam him if I said don't add anyone on anything? Is your IQ in the single or double digits?
Goodbye and good luck OP I hope these fags don't try and scam you.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, scammer
Brayden Collins
Yes, a high chance. I always noted to txt all accounts to games, domain providers, servers, internet wallets like egold, paxum etc. What if I have only a digital wallet there? Without keys in txt file...
Lincoln Anderson
There's a wallet called electrum, download that one and you'll be able to transfer your BTC to a more modern wallet, as the ones from 10 years ago might not be compatible. BACKUP THE FILES, ESPECIALLY THE WALLET.DAT, REFUSING TO DO SO AND UPDATING ELECTRUM AUTOMATICALLY WILL WIPE THE WALLET. SAVE THE WALLET.DAT FILE SOMEWHERE SAFE. I want you to make it user, don't mess this up. People became an hero just by wiping the drive/files accidentally.
Chase Reyes
probably just blockchain.com or coinbase
pls send me anything, I bet all my savings on Trump and now I'm stuck in a fking limbo because of this nigger Bidet 1MWZkoBZu3r6mrGpUJB2mgt59AQt7zCpVV

For 100% its not formatted. I never did this to any of my old disks. I properly save my data to external disks with 1TB at least. But I think that chances are very low that there's something :( but still a chance.
Dylan Hall
all you need it a private key for the wallet you used years ago where did you send those btc? what program were you using?
Zachary Cooper
Search for wallet.dat or something like that
Chase Ross
this so much good luck michael
Adrian Brown
Oh my god, this is why I posted this thread there... I heard about these stupid mistakes. Thanks man, you deserve a %.
Noah Thompson
always make backups. the files might get corrupted but your btc don't be wiped unless you send them to an invalid adress
Jason Cook
I have no idea, it was just an unknown digital wallet. Damn I see that chances are getting lower and lower...
Nathaniel Powell
you can import the wallet.dat to your client (bitcoin core?) without updating the entire network and thus downloading hundreds of GB of blockchain you can then export the private key from the program and use it to move your bitcoin elsewhere
Alexander Davis
Why dont u fuck off and come back AFTER u checked ur harddrive. This is completely useless speculation and what the fuck u need the exchange for?
Grayson King
there weren't many clients back then did you download a program? or used some different app? be specific, you should remember
Ethan Long
Op I will literally degrade myself on this public fourm with a sharpie up my anus for 0 bitcoin
Zachary Evans
Ok, so my first moves should be: 1. Search "wallet.dat" 2. Make a backup of this file 3. Try to open with electrum wallet
Noah Cooper
If you want to be extra careful you can do it on airplane mode, otherwise you got it
Nicholas Gray
Because I heard stories about wiped bitcoins due to bad moves. I know the only way would be to post this in public.
The exchange may contained some altcoins, because I have not moved them like netcoin, infinity coin or something like that
Caleb Evans
you might have a 32 word seed ( a word passphrase used to recreate the private key) instead of the private key iteself check for that and for wallet.dat files

Ayden Richardson
Ok, thanks, I can just turn off my internet :)
Adrian Nelson
Give it back Jamal.
Aaron Harris
Should I accept people on Discord? :/ I am a little worried now when someone told about scamming...
Elijah Jackson
explain, otherwise how many bitcoins were on it and can i buy the HDD?
John Diaz
Yeah also make sure you back up the wallet.dat file before doing anything
Grayson Stewart
I remember that the first I heard about bitcoin on their ugly website bitcoin.com. So probably the wallet was from there, bitcoin core.
Jackson James
don't add anyone. Lots of assholes in here. Before anything else, you should get as much information as you can about how wallets work and how to recover them. ALWAYS suspect of everyone from the internet trying to be a good Samaritan, especially about crypto.
