>In a note to clients on Wednesday, the US investment bank said it expects the benchmark S&P 500 index of US stocks to climb by 11 per cent to 4100 by the middle of next year, and to 4300 by the end of 2021, in light of the news that Pfizer and BioNTech have discovered what appears to be a highly effective vaccine.
>"A vaccine is a more important development for the economy and markets than the prospective policies of a Biden presidency," strategists at the bank said. The emergence of the potential vaccine "is a positive event that will allow society to gradually normalize during 2021", it added.
