it does not even exist - haircombs do exist

no, people are just lazy. This is exactly the same kind of FUD that the original ETH launch had, people thought Money Skelly was a scammer and failure. Skip forward to today and everything runs on ETH.

name?

It's pure fettuccine code

yes
buy it anyways

If biz says its a piece of shit then thats the most possible bullish indicator out there for it.

enough ethereums have not been staked to activate the bacon chain yet

What are the returns looking like for staking 32 eth in the new network? Is it worth?

up to 25% if there is only the absolute minimum amount of validators activated. something around 16% is expected during phase 0 when more validators join the network.
if you're not enjoying the administration of a small server in your home then this isn't worth it. you can probably also just stake through coinbase or kraken and get almost the same return.

I do not even need to hear her talk, I already know she has a great personality

Is it more reasonable for a non-techie user (myself) to just wait for custodial staking options instead of trying my hand at depositing before the December 1st deadline?

>she
user, i....ngmi

no adam's apple, it's a female

That's a man

yes i think that would be the recommended way for "non-techie" users. i mean it's not rocket science, there are just one or two things that can make you lose money if run in the wrong way. just join the medalla testnet and look if this is something you'd be willing to spend some of your time on over the next 2 years at least.

how do you absolute mongoloid idiots not realize that for staking to work, the price per eth will NECESSARILY be high? if you're not buying ethereum right now you deserve the rope desu

Please excuse my retardation, but I want to know, how does staking work if you don’t run a node yourself? I am sure custodial options will arise soon, but do I miss out on the 15%+ apy? Why would someone want to run a node instead of just staking via Coinbase (or a better custodial service)?

because 1. you keep your custody 2. you get the high APY for early adopters/risk takers 3. you don't have to pay a cut of the yield to custodians

Is it worth it even if you’re nowhere close to 32 ETH? I can only afford 2 ETH rn

well, i'd personally rather stay in control of my funds (if one can call it control in phase 0). i expect the large custodial services to have very small or even zero fees, they're happy as long as you keep your coins with them. there are also hybrids like rocket pool, there will be plenty of opportunities to stake your ETH in half a year or so.

Uhg I’m an idiot.

Why does the ETH get locked for years though? Is there a reason for that? When is it unlocked?

Is there a good guide anywhere for this online? I can’t figure out any of this and have a ton (relative to myself) of money in ETH already.

Thanks for the answers either way

just click through the launchpad at launchpad.ethereum.org/ there is a lot of background material about the phases. phase 0 does not support any form of transaction, that's why funds are locked up until at least phase 1.5.

Thanks a lot was reading a bit about it now. I’ll look through this all tonight.

Out of curiosity, what are you doing with your ETH? Will you be staking it now or will you wait till later?

I think if I ever had the opportunity to see you and touch you I would actually kill you. Completely serious. I never harmed anyone but you idk I really feel like I could have fun seeing your life fleet bit by bit while I choke you as hard as I can

Hmm, yes i too am still accumulating

I will only run one validator in phase 0. the testnet didn't run particularly successful and I don't want to risk getting slashed because of some client bug. maybe i'll scale it up if the network runs stable for a while and if they agree on a definitive timeline for phase 1.5 implementation.

Eth is underwhelming period, there are so many better chain out there like Radix...such a shame that eth hogs all the DeFi community...

Why do I find Indian women so unattractive.

Scat is an uncommon fetish.

that's a sir

It is a big thing but still there is a long way to figure all scalability problems out. In this phase, there aren't many things about it. So, some sidechains and plasma chain solutions would be good for better ethereum. dApps need those additional solutions. If projects like Tokamak Network can't achieve this, I don't know many months we have to wait.
