Don't you think housing is sort of a universal right and the current real estate market creates ways for rich people to buy up all property, making it completely inaffordable, and then trap people into increasing rent cycles -- causing upward mobility to be far more difficult than in past generations?
I got a rent stabilized apartment and pay v. little to live in a hip area of Brooklyn. My rent will rise less than the inflation rate. However, most people aren't smart enough to do shit like this.
