Since I started using this board I have become pessimistic about life

After joining this board, I came to the realization that I am just a starbucks wagecuck with no future.
------------------------
Here is my story.
-----------------------
I started working at starbucks earning $10 dollars an hour and I was very happy. I worked hard and carried my lazy co-workers and in the hopes that I would get promoted. However, my manger always promoted his fav females baristas. I continued to work hard and proof myself; however, eventually 2 years later i became shift supervisor and I got a raise for a dollar! In total, I was making $13 by now. And the mini-wage in my city was...13...? It's been 5 years since I have been a shift supervisor with no sight of getting promoted to manger position. I thought I could climb the ladder working at starbucks. However, I come to realize there is no future here for me. I hate all of their disgusting sandwiches and salads to save money and I still have not been to save 10k
Furthermore, after joining Zig Forums, I have become depressed and almost lost my job at starcucks for mentioning "wage slavery" to our district manger.

I wish I never joined this board and learned about the fact that i'm going to be a wage slave for the rest of my life.

this

This board helped you realize you have a problem you didn't know you had. You shouldn't feel down about that. Better to realize it now than after another five years have past.
Now that you understand the problem, you can start to look for a solution. It's an opportunity. Most people who succeed have done so through a series of failures. The ones who make it tend the be ones who kept trying.

Now start buying link wagie. You wanna get out of that wagie vague don't you? It's okay, we all start off inside the vague, but the only way you can get out is by waking up. Now the hard part begins

>I am just a starbucks wagecuck with no future.
With that mindset, yes. Aim to be happy.

Without a college degree, I have no idea how to get other high paying jobs. If I go to community college, then everyone will just laugh at me for being an old fuck.

if my car dies one more time on me, then I'm going to go crazy. I wish I had found this board way-earlier.

My two jobs: Sandwich artist and Barista got me nothing in this country thus far. Work hard! keep working is bunch of nonsense...

I only have 10 linkies..one hour of work will only get me 1 linky..well after taxes probably.

Have you tried selling drugs?

Sell that bullshit link and use it to fund a real estate license.

Congrats user. You woke up and as long as you don't go back to sleep and apply yourself, you will make it.

I have no tried selling drugs and I plan on stay away from this profession.

I'll be exploring real estate and can you give me your experience on how to become succesful with real estate?

learn programming
it's one of the only high paying jobs where a degree isn't required.

They won't laugh at you. I've been in uni with people in their 40's attending classes filled mostly with those in their 20's. Nobody laughed. If you do the work and learn the stuff, you get respect, just like anyone else.
The best thing you can do is think about what sorts of things you might want to do for a living. Then learn what the paths to those careers actually look like. How long it takes, how much it costs. Call up some random people in that line of work and tell them you're interested in perusing it. Ask them what they think the prospects for someone just starting out in the future. Take as many factors into account as you can, make sure you'e well informed, decide on something and just go for it.
Oh and make sure it's not a job that'll vanish in recession.

This, if not biz and crypto i would be forever a rat stuck in a cage

>My two jobs: Sandwich artist and Barista
top kek
You have have a real job first. Then work hard and youll get promoted

I'm fucked too, I literally dont know what to do.
>cant do military cause of disabilities
>could do manual labor, but wouldnt be sustainable cause of one of my disabilities
>tried a few handfuls of things, not really good at any of them, or my personality/morals dont mesh at all with the work
>try moving up the retail ladder, goes nowhere
I'm fucked and I just fucking know I'll have more than my fair share of medical Bill's down the line, but I cant seem to do anything about it. I'm working two minimum wage jobs right now, but I still make less than 30k/yr. I'm fucked, man.

How about carpentry? You can specialize in things like cabinetry, which don't require much in terms of physical labor

Beats being a neet depending on gibs for sustenance

I havent tried that, but I dont know anyone around here who does it. Is the work sustainable? I cant imagine there is a large need for it. Sure most people with homes want cabinets, but I mean, let's say you're super lucky, and everyone in town gets your shit in their house. What then?

>I started working at starbucks earning $10 dollars an hour and I was very happy
here's your problem. You will own nothing and youll be happy.

How old are you and where are you from?

>What then?
lambos.

always coming up with excuses. ngmi

I'd call up some carpenters in your area and ask them. I guess the sustainability would vary quite a bit, depending on where you live.
Depending on your disabilities, plumbing might also be a good idea. Generally, jobs that don't rate high in terms of "prestige" will make up for it with better pay. Plumbers apparently tend to make quite a fair living around my area.

You could give it a try in a different coffee shop. You have lots of expierience and when you give the new company a good first expression they will consider you faster for a promotion.

Excuses? I asked a question you monkey.
Does it really pay that well per job?
Certainly plumbers make a fair wage, but as far as I'm aware, I'll have to go back to school, which I dont have the time or money to do. At least that's what I gather from trying exactly what you said. Basically, it will be increasingly likely that my fine motor control/strength will dwindle with age, among other things. Existing is just harder for me for no other fucking reason than I was born. I hate making myself sound like a victim or whatever, but it is a reality I have to accommodate or I'm fucked.

apprenticeship?

>If I go to community college, then everyone will just laugh at me for being an old fuck.
This is your problem user. Your fragile ego is holding you back.

get fired from Starbucks you'll feel better about your future

As far as I have been told, that is virtually nonexistent anymore, and I "need" schooling. Believe me, I asked. The closest thing I had was welding, but shaky hands and not so great depth perception make that a no go. I did a few good practice welds, but I really cant get consistent, even with my utmost focus.

There are plenty of well paying trade jobs become a electrician, or a brick layer. Do your own homework. You wanna get out your rut you gotta work for it.

give it a couple years and it will take you a week to make a single LINK token.

What I'm saying is that those jobs wont be sustainable for long. I've done a few to the point where I couldnt fucking move by the time I got home, and that was to keep up pace. I suppose I havent tried bricklaying, and that's performance based, so maybe that would help sweeten the deal. The point is, I'm not afraid of hard work, it will just ruin my body significantly than the average guy.

You can try roofing, pays well, but only doable in the summer months.

Significantly faster*

Petrified of heights, and balance is shit, but fuck if I can get some kneepads and shuffle around, that'll work.

Don't be a baby. You are literally working suburban homes that are two stories at most. I live in leaf land and there is tons of work in the summer months for this, because usually tiling is shit and needs to be replaced every couple of years.

>sure I'll fucking do it
>dont be a baby
