i am coming up on a year unemployed. it has been one of the best years of my life- i went from in debt to up $50k with investments poised to explode, i'm 1/4 of the way through a Master's degree, i'm in better shape than i've been in years, i spent most of the summer outside, i went from a single incel through a relationship with an amazing girl and now i'm dating several girls at once- they come to visit and stay in my house for a week at a time and nobody's the wiser- i've read more and written more in the last year than in any year i can remember- I'm doing volunteer work that I find engaging and I get a deep sense of meaning from serving people in my community who need it-

Its pretty funny, early 2016 I found a work from home company to work for (I was in a bad spot in life and cut myself off from everything.) I started making absolute shit, like 9 bucks an hour (job was customer service / support for a variety of different companies that you got to choose from) unpaid training, all sorts of illegal shit they were doing...but hey I was at home 24/7 and work was usually available around the clock. After a year I finally got into their travel agent program and started to make decent money, like 24 an hour. I quit this job due to their shady shit in 2019...I just keep laughing at everyone who is all for this Work at home shit, you guys have no fucking idea what your employers are about to do to you. Please have an exit plan ready.

just wait till the reclassifying of your employment status comes, welcome to being an independent contractor. True work at home employment opportunities are rare. I am 100% certain if your employer has the option to come to work and you choose to work at home instead, you will be shifted over to the IC classification. It may not happen immediately, but it will come.
