the ETFs are different depending on what currency you use. if you wanna invest in a single US stock you have no choice but to convert to USD to invest in it. but, for ETFs that follow the big indices, there are equivalents in local currency and you should follow that

for example, £IUSA is my SPY because im a britbong. when we discuss on /smg/ we always call it SPY and i'll talk about my SPY holdings. but i'm actually in £IUSA not SPY

you need to search S&P500 in your broker, and see what the options are. usually there's more than one. it won't be called SPY
