School bully is dead

My school bully became my best and most loyal friend. He committed murder suicide. Killed his gf, cops showed up and he went after them with a knife asking them to shoot him. All of this in a decent, white neighborhood lol. Not sure how to feel. What a piece of shit huh?

I’m not even LARPINg that really happened. Bullying builds character, only the betas got bullied from my experience.

No one really knows, but I’ll say for sure drugs ruined him and specifically getting a felony charge for weed distribution was the start of the downward spiral. And that shit is decriminalized just a few years later here.

What works against bullying? I haven't been full on bullied in my life. Just maybe in school sometimes we picked on each other which was more like a power struggle/asserting dominance to stay relevant thing. I remember switching soccer teams(to play at a higher level) and the guys there would crack banters and nice comebacks all the time so I would learn to be witty and more confident. Plus at school I remember gym class being the place where I could dominate especially when it was soccer so there I had definitely more "respect". However being just full on bullied idk what I would do. Probably just go and punch the guy in the face and keep a knife as a backup if I was weaker. Violence seems to be the only way imo especially if you have been always an outcast/bullied, not just fallen out of the group through some power struggles or conflicts due to some random drama.

Not sure how it works in other countries but growing up i went to quite a few different schools and found that the shittier the school the more bullying there was, it was a but like the kids could read the temperature of the place and if the teachers gave no shits they wouldn't either.
Also I had my growth spurt quite late, so I got bullied a bit when I was smaller, I can say unless you want to live in fear the only thing that works is violence, if you smash a bully in their face they'll leave you alone, even if they still beat you up 9 times out of 10 they won't do it again as they know there's other people who don't fight back and they'll bully them instead.
One of my biggest regrets was bullying a kid after I moved schools and hit puberty but after a month or so we made up and I ended up looking out for him.
