Dont just jump into random shitcoins. If you are uninterested in the basic use case of the blockchain you invest in, you will never succeed.
Easier said than done. The smarter thing is to just buy the things with somewhat of a track record. Defi has link and yfi. Those will likely outperform the smaller projects for some time and are probably a better investment for a small low skill investor.
