why do precious metals guys seem so suspicious of stock/federal reserve etc but are also so oblivious to the obvious manipulation of precious metals prices?
Just buy some regular silver eagles. You’re not gonna hurt the resell value much if at all. Silver is silver it’s always going to be worth at least spot.
Brody Adams
Most of pmg is not at all oblivious to that. It's discussed quite frequently, actually. But it doesn't matter what manipulation goes on....1 toz is 1 toz. People stacking for moonshots are doing it wrong. This is long term insurance. Plus, they're pretty fucking shiny desu.
Grayson King
Yeah why not, I mean they are tarnished/damaged already so fondle away!
Luke Martin
Are you motherfuckers too stupid or too lazy to type in “/pmg/- Precious metals general”?
Caleb Gomez
Most of us stack because we want to have a hedge against inflation, see it as a physical savings account that you can fondle everynight.
Fucking this, all the newfag tourists who want to get in on the moon mission are crypto cucks. Those of us who are in to PM's stack a bit here and there. I have said this many times already, everyone asks >when is the best time to buy pm's years ago >second best time to buy pm's? yesterday >next best time to buy pm's? today It is a continual thing, you buy bits at a time and never over extend yourself buying pm's and try to keep your cost per oz as low as you can, sometimes you buy high , sometimes you buy low, try to buy the dips
Still feeling good about selling all of my equities and miners. 30 Year Treasury had been getting smashed with shorts and STILL barely got to pre-March levels and now headed back down. The short squeeze in Treasuries is going to be atomic. TLT is my only open position other than calls on TLT and UUP. Waiting to scoop up miners and other commodities after more damage.
Yep. I don't care what the price is. I will keep stacking physical and I encourage everyone else to. I still see it going down further. I'll just buy cheapies. If prices are up, I feel good. If prices are down, I feel good. I am agnostic to fiat price.
Brayden Turner
I wouldn’t pay that premium for damaged eagles. In fact I would only pay a little bit over spot for that quality. Go check out monumentmetals.com I think you’ll find better prices over there. I just placed an order with them this morning.
William Young
This. A bunch of retards have swarmed these threads recently and are acting like PMs are treated like some shitcoin where we're all praying for some 1000000x Moon Mission in the next week, or playing it short like a stock.
These are for long term security, nothing more. Can you invest in other things? Sure. Should you invest in other things? Sure. This is not the end all be all of financial investment, and not a whole lot of people have 100% of their money tied up in physical, like some retards wants to believe.
David Turner
SOMEONE SELL ME A GOLD GRIFFIN QUEEN'S BEAST AAAAAaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA
Luke Williams
what are the odds of people getting scared and selling short on metals and it going down 25% and then we buy the cheapies
Nathan Lewis
yeah, I just bought brand new 2020 Eagles for that price from Monumetals.
Is there any reason to buy if I don't believe in a collapse or hyperinflation theories and such?
Ethan Morgan
I’m lacking any asahi silver. Anyone want to trade one asahi round for 1 asahi type 21 ball valve? The valve is worth a bit more. I just want a piece of silver from the same company that produces most of my ball valevs
Just treat it like savings. One of the nice things about metals is that it’s not as convenient to spend as cash, which I know sounds strange, but it means you probably won’t cash it out and go buy something stupid on a whim.
Jeremiah Bell
I'll likely just play the indexes, but I like BTG and I'll buy them individually to increase their weighting in my share. I don't get involved in the juniors and explorations.
Austin Sullivan
Think of it like a universal life insurance. You pay for the insurance in case of bad things and also, it has a cash value that you can take out later. Except this one has no counterparty risk. Your rock is your rock.
