Almost everyone who came to US got land for free or cheap. Owning some minimum amount of land should equal a vote or something like that. Maybe even being net positive to the state grants you a vote.

We have to pay for dental here, just maybe not quite as much. You also have to pay for glasses (but not the optometrist appointment/eye exam).

Ya im not against owning a house, but I am against people in their early 20s being saddled with a 40 year mortgage they can't afford. I currently live in an $800/month 1bdr apartment though and am just saving/investing as much as possible. I don't really want less than 25-30% down though, even though I can get a mortgage with a 5% down payment

It depends, I'm single and relatively young (28). Families pay much more. I currently pay around 200 for my employer health insurance and I was on my mommy's healthcare until I was 26 so I've never bought my own before. Idk what to expect
