Not bad for a months worth of work.

100k here as a core millennial but it's only 55k after taxes and rent (Cali).

CT fag reporting. Pretty much right, it's kind of a pain in the asa to move up the chain unless you appear as the second coming of christ to your employer. Entrepreneurial ventures also arent for everybody.

it's YEARLY income lmao
America truly is a poorfag country if you're not in the top 5%

Oh and should note too that it costs roughly 25k minimum to live here

What is age range? Probably includes lots of kids in college and makes the income look lower due to that

Here in AK we have alot of government and oil work. in addition to our small population size it gives the notion we are wealthy, but that's not the case. We are in a serious reccession.

Damn, for me the USD equivalent is $37,000 and I consider myself low paid.

> 2014
Millennials would have been around ages 20-35 in that period, so 20%ish were still in school (if we assume 30%ish of all millennials graduate from university, plus some extra change for grad/PhD students).
The number that always gets through around as "average income" is usually "average HOUSEHOLD income", which is the combined income of all members of the family. This artificially inflates people's perceptions of the true individual average (last I checked it was around 55k for household and 45k for individual as the averages).

I think that just averages with allot of 0s for all the unemployed.

this, back then millennials were a lot longer. they could have counted students as $0 salary

>what is median

come back in a few years, you're not ready to invest yet

The average income is also inflated by the people making TONS of money at the very top of the distribution

>2014

Damn those college kids with $0 incomes skewing this. But seriously, Zig Forums is absolutely full of larpers that think 50k/year in Oklahoma is soul crushing poverty.

$0 can’t skew a median, only an average. It’s literally why you us median, you dewy faced salamander.

>$76k annual fresh out of uni
>$16k signing bonus
>$10k annual bonuses for second third and fourth year
>can transfer to new locations across the country when I want
>telework option coming by end of January
drop a couple hundo on stinky linkies every weekend
>would list my state but they're all poor as fuck on that map anyways
don't fall for the stem is a meme meme lads, engineering is sick as fuck

Wtfhappenedin1971.com

TOMO hodlers primarily live in NYC. prove me wrong biz

>0,0,0,0,100

What's the median in that list, dumbass? Holy shit imagine being so condescending and so retarded

How do people live in CA with that income? One of the lowest but most expensive places to live. 3-4 people in a household?

I should move up there. How hard is it to bang native cuties?

>tfw work 12 hour days in a factory just so I can make $24k a year.

They're counting zeros and part time workers. Minimum wage is about $20k/year in most places.

You will make it. Get some friends together, start a small business and let me invest. At that point, even if you continue to work 12h days, you're working for yourself and building the foundation for your empire.

what kind of engineering

thats bullshit, you do not net 55k after taxes and rent in CA unless you are living in a shitty 3br apartment in oakland shared with 3 other people and one of them sleeps in the kitchen

Jesus, who the fuck would live in that communist shithole.

majored in computer engineering (hybrid of ee and cs), working as an electronics engineer for the DoD. gpa was like a 3.1 or 3.2 I think, no internship but ample undergrad research

SAD
i make 10,000€ a month

I live and work in metro Atlanta. I've made $166k so far this year. Set to make close to $190k by the end of the year. I work about 50 hours a week though.

baesd. i'm a 31 year old boomer in accounting. thinking of going back to school for CS, not sure though. dream job would be government contracting doing real software/embedded systems work, none of that faggy web dev garbage.

The state of Alaska is running out of money. Alaska is never going to recover.

they think that because it's TRUE.

>damn 20k is a nice amount of cash--
Holy fuck that's per year? Fuck me up the ass lol

Where can i go long porn stocks?

CS contracting jobs are comfy af from what I've seen, at least for the government. I'm not sure what pursuing a degree would entail as far as work/life balance (or how long it'd take), but I have a coworker who worked as a technician while pursuing a CS degree on the side and recently graduated as well. I think you need a lot of energy/discipline especially since you're locked up for 40 hours a week already. I think he did his degree online but I'm not sure, there's a university nearby
